In today’s fast paced society, most people think that they have to work their way to heaven. Others think if they are a “good person” that will get them to heaven. Still others believe you must join a church to get to heaven. Unfortunately, none of these are true. According to the Word of God, there is only ONE way to get to heaven and that is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Below are a few common statements and questions you may have or have heard before. Read the questions and then the answers and make sure that if you died TODAY, you would spend eternity in heaven.

I’m a good person. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” -Romans 3:23

Everyone sins, so what? “For the wages of sin is death…” -Romans 6:23

Even though we are sinners… “…God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

I’ll just work my way to heaven. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
–Ephesians 2:8-9

So what do I do? “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” -Romans 10:9

Receive His Gift “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” -Romans 6:23

Get in a Local Baptist Church “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:25
